We offer you a feast with delicious crayfish, prepared over low heat.
Crayfish are caught in “R” months January, February, March, April, September, October, November, December.
Catching itself is an art .. special traps are set and fishermen gather the catch with great care so that their nets are not torn.
Cleaning crayfish is meticulous and requires a little care… so that their pliers do not staple your fingertips.
The preparation is interesting and not recommended for the weak angel, because they are put alive in the cauldron with hot water and make a "whistle" for a few seconds.
How to eat crayfish. What to eat from crayfish?
Be aware that crayfish are an important source of 99% protein, containing very little fat, only 1%. They also contain omega 3, which makes them even more valuable for consumption. Because they do not contain carbohydrates, they can be consumed without worrying about weight problems.
Grab its head between two fingers and hold it with one hand, holding its tail with the other. Turn its head left and right until it comes off the body. If it does not come off easily, they are not well cooked.
Consume the juice from the head. This is optional. Some really appreciate this content, others don't. In this case, throw it away.
Remove the tail shell. Grab the shell and pull it with his two fingers and pulls the meat out. It's the tastiest part. Throw away the tail shell.
Eat meat from tongs. Crush the tongs and remove the contents, which are as good as the tail.
During the meal, crayfish must be enjoyed slowly and delicately with a cold white wine, preferably semi-dry.
At the end of the feast, the shells will remain… only fit to contemplate or make memories “hand-made”.
The gourmet that has the largest "pile" of shells in front of him… treats the others to a walk on the seafront of Crisan.
Enjoy your meal!
